Nurses Week: Safe Staffing Levels a Priority

May 11, 2015

Hawaii Government Employees Association honors and recognizes our more than 1,700 public-sector registered nurses for their dedication and commitment to the people of Hawaii. Their efforts make a positive difference in patients' lives at our public safety-net hospitals, community health centers, long-term care facilities, correctional institutions, educational settings and many other community service programs.

A survey cited in a December 31, 2014 article in Scientific American indicated that nearly 80% of nurses had been attacked in the past year.  Click here for full story.
