Submit testimony today on reopening of schools

The Hawaii State Board of Education is soliciting feedback from DOE staff, teachers, students, parents, other stakeholders and the general public on the reopening of schools for School Year 2020-21.
MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD
Please submit your questions, comments and concerns that you would like the Board of Education to consider as they plan to provide “big picture” guidance to the DOE of its expectations for the reopening of schools in the 2020-21 school year. The Board wants to first understand the expectations, questions, and concerns you have about reopening schools and providing a quality education for students while living with the treat of COVID-19.
Written testimony should be submitted by TOMORROW – Friday, June 5, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. Submit your written testimony to: Testimony.BOE@boe.hawaii.gov (include “Testimony” in the subject line). Below is a link to the BOE’s memorandum and framework to help facilitate their feedback discussion.
Include the following information:
- Name with position/title and organization, if applicable;
- Agenda item: Reopening of school for SY 2020-21; and
- Position (support, oppose, or comment with questions/concerns)
